I don't drink coffee, but my Food Sensitivity test revealed antibodies to coffee. Why?

It is possible to develop hypersensitivities via inhalation of aerosolized antigens released in the trapping, processing, or cooking of foods. Reactions can vary from benign respiratory or cutaneous to systemic and life-threatening. Asthma is a strong predisposing factor in many. Food hypersensitivity by inhalation is more common with peanut, wheat, milk, egg, soy, seafood (crustaceans), but there are other less common foods as well. So, if a person doesn't drink coffee they may be getting aerosolized exposure to coffee "dust” or may be getting cutaneous exposure to coffee bean extracts in skin care products aimed at wrinkles and fine lines de-puffing skin care products. Energy drinks and dietary supplements should be ruled out as a source of dietary exposure to coffee beans.
