Will steroid use during Micronutrient test specimen collection interfere with test results?

Yes. Steroid use during collection for Vibrant's Micronutrient test may alter total white blood cell count and/or neutrophil count, which may alter white blood cell (WBC, intracellular) micronutrient test results. To avoid steroid impact on WBC levels, wait 14-30 days after discontinuing steroids before collecting your sample or consider getting a complete blood count (CBC) prior to the Micronutrient test to evaluate WBC levels.
