What can cause high vitamin K2?

High vitamin K2 levels may result from high levels of vitamin K2-synthesizing gut microbes like Bacteroides and Veillonella or diets rich in vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 is found in grass-fed dairy, organ meats, and fermented foods including natto, kombucha, miso, sauerkraut, and other fermented and cultured plant foods. Genetic variants of CYP4F2 gene rs2108622 are associated with high vitamin K levels.
