I ate a food and/or took a supplement I should not have prior to collecting my urine specimen, what should I do?

For best test performance, follow the test preparation instructions as written. If you have not followed the test preparation instructions as written, then discard the urine sample and recollect the specimen. However, do not discard the collection cup, pipette, or specimen tubes. Instead, rinse thoroughly and dry in a well-ventilated area. Once collection devices are dry, recollect the specimen according to the instructions.
