Can I order Vibrant's Total Tox Burden (including Heavy Metals, Mycotoxins, and Environmental Toxins) test for a child (pediatric population)?

There is no age restriction for any of the Total Tox Burden tests (Heavy Metals, Environmental Toxins, Mycotoxins). However, these tests have not yet been validated for the pediatric population, so it will be important to take that into consideration when interpreting the results and reference ranges. Many Vibrant ordering providers who are confident and competent at pediatric laboratory interpretation use the test routinely despite the validation limitation.
