My Lyme test was positive last year, but negative this year. How long do Lyme disease antibodies persist?

The immune response to infections, including Lyme disease, is highly variable. For some individuals antibodies persist for months, others for years. Additionally, immune suppression can cause false negatives on the Tickborne test. For that reason, practitioners should consider testing Total Immunoglobulins with every infectious disease test.
