There are several markers on the NZP which may be used in the laboratory assessment of PANDAS/PANS:
- Brain Inflammation: Anti-Dopamine Receptor 1 and Anti Dopamine Receptor 2
- Infection: Streptococcal A
- Demyelination: Anti-Tubulin
- Peripheral Neuropathy: Anti-GM1 (also known as Ganglioside M1)
