Why would E. histolytica antibodies show up negative?

For someone who is asymptomatic for E. histolytica, they may present negative for antibodies. Additionally, according to the CDC, only approximately 10% of asymptomatic people who are passing cysts of E. histolytica may have antibodies detected.
