What tests are recommended for liver fibrosis?

When screening for liver fibrosis, "the three most-validated specialized blood tests are the Enhanced Liver Fibrosis (ELF) test, FibroMeter, and Fibrotest" (Canivet & Boursier, 2023) of which Vibrant does not offer.

Since the causes of liver fibrosis are typically caused by chronic damage to the liver from alcohol abuse, viral/autoimmune hepatitis, NAFLD, bile duct disease, toxins, genetic disorders such as hemochromatosis (excessive iron accumulation in the body) or Wilson's disease (copper accumulation), you may also consider the following,

  • Wheat Zoomer (intestinal permeability panel)
  • Gut Zoomer
  • Total Tox Burden (Mycotoxins, Heavy Metals, Environmental Toxins)
  • Micronutrients
