The Female Hormone Zoomer Questionnaire asks patients to choose the option that "best describes your current reproductive health status".
- Premenopausal Phase(regularly menstruating every 21-35 days)
- Perimenopausal, or irregular menstruation for less than 1 year, for any reason
- Postmenopausal, or no menstruation for greater than 1 year, for any reason
- Pregnant
- Pre-puberty (age 15 or older), has not had first period
It is important to select the option that best describes your current status, for any reason.
What should most be taken into consideration with irregular menstrual cycles is the length of time- less than 1 year or greater than 1 year.
If you choose Perimenopausal, or irregular menstruation for less than 1 year, for any reason, the Laboratory will default to premenopausal luteal phase reference ranges.
If you choose Postmenopausal, or no menstruation for greater than 1 year, for any reason, the Laboratory will default to postmenopausal reference ranges.
If you have doubts about your selection, contact your ordering provider to inquire about which selection is best for you.
