What methodology is used to measure serum hormones?

Electrochemiluminescence Immunoassay (ECLIA) is used for most serum hormones due to the broad dynamic range to measure a wide range of concentrations in a single test, high sensitivity, processing speed, and ability to handle automated, high-throughput testing. LC-MS/MS is used for DHT because of its high specificity for DHT concentrations, particularly at lower levels.
