Vibrant Wellness offers multiple payment options to support different patient payment needs. Payment Plans, Klarna, and Afterpay all allow patients to complete payment without paying the full amount upfront, but they work differently behind the scenes.
Buy Now, Pay Later Options
Payment Plans allows eligible patients to split a payment into equal monthly installments using an existing credit card. Klarna and Afterpay are third-party Buy Now, Pay Later payment options that may use a separate financing or approval.
The key difference is that Payment Plans uses the patient’s existing credit card, while Klarna and Afterpay operate as external Buy Now, Pay Later providers.
How Payment Plans Work
Payment Plans allow patients to pay in installments using an existing credit card. With Payment Plans:
- Patients use an existing credit card.
- No new loan is created.
- No credit check is required.
- The full purchase amount is authorized on the patient’s credit card at checkout.
- The patient is charged in equal monthly installments.
The authorization is a hold, not a charge. The patient must have enough available credit on the card for the full purchase amount when the installment plan is created. Standard credit card terms and conditions still apply.
How Klarna and Afterpay Work
Klarna and Afterpay are third-party Buy Now, Pay Later options. These services allow patients to finance a purchase through an external payment provider. With Klarna or Afterpay:
- The payment provider may perform eligibility or approval checks.
- The payment plan is managed by the third-party provider.
- The patient may need to use Klarna or Afterpay tools and apps to manage payment activity.
When Patients May Choose Each Option
Patients may choose Payment Plans when they want to use an existing credit card, keep the payment connected to that card, and avoid a separate loan or credit-check flow.
Patients may choose Klarna or Afterpay when they prefer to use a third-party Buy Now, Pay Later option or do not want to place the installment plan on an existing credit card.
