As a Practice Admin, you can add providers and place orders on their behalf.
There are two ways in which Practice Admins can place orders on behalf of Providers:
- The provider has accepted the invitation to the practice and signed up for an account. These providers will show in the Providers In Your Practice section with their email displayed
- The Provider has not accepted the invitation to the practice and has not signed up for an account, but the Practice Admin entered their NPI when they were added.
*NPI is an optional field for Practice Admins to add Providers, but Providers will not appear in the Providers In Your Practice section unless they have accepted the invitation or their NPI was entered when they were added by a Practice Admin.
Providers who were added by a Practice Admin with their NPI but have not accepted the invitation link will show in the Providers In Your Practice Section without an email like this:
Providers will receive an email invitation regardless if their NPI was added by a Practice Admin.
Placing Orders On Providers' Behalf
To place an order on behalf of another individual in the practice, the user must be a Practice Admin.
Navigate to the Order Test tab, where users can choose a Provider.
Practice Admins can set a default provider in the Providers In Your Practice section.
