The Vibrant Chrome Extension offers two configuration methods for connecting patient data between the EHR and the Vibrant Provider Portal, differing in how much information is pre-filled automatically.
Setup Options
Website Setup
This option requires a one-time login to the Vibrant Provider Portal. Patient name and email information flow automatically from the EHR into Vibrant. Patients provide gender and address details when completing payment, or separately if Provider Pay is used.
API Setup
This option provides greater automation. Practices can generate an API key from their EHR settings and enter it into the Vibrant Chrome Extension. With this setup, patient address and gender details are transferred automatically, resulting in a fully pre-filled record.
When to Use Each Setup
Website Sync
- Quick connection with minimal configuration
- Pre-fills basic patient details (name and email)
- Best for Patient Pay Now or Patient Pay Later since patients enter shipping address and gender at payment
Works with Provider Office Bill, but patients must provide shipping address and gender via email to complete the order

- When the practice wants a higher level of automation
- When patient records need to be fully pre-filled without additional input from the patient
- For practices using Provider Office Bill that do not want their patients to be required to complete additional information via email for the order to be processed
- For providers who find patients are not reliably completing required information via email
